Anodosism*
My work explores the aesthetics and metaphysics of systems, structures, and game mechanics through the lens of a Christian worldview. I interpret reality as a multilayered structure created by Divine design, where rules and freedom, order and chaos exist in dynamic equilibrium.
Using the language of abstraction, forms, and symbols, I create visual narratives that question our place in this system. Working with images of game boards, algorithms, and rituals, I address fundamental themes: predestination and choice, law and grace, the finitude of the player and the infinity of the Author.
My goal is to transform the gallery into a space for contemplative "play," where the viewer can experience participation in a greater Design.
My work is an exploration of the invisible structures that govern our reality: from algorithms and social contracts to the rules of board games. I view the world as a complex, multi-layered system created in the image of the Divine Logos—the primordial Order and Meaning.
In my works, I deconstruct and visualize these systems, asking the question: where in the mechanics of the world does the Creator's plan emerge? For me, game mechanics become a modern parable, a language in which to speak of free will, predestination, sacrifice, and salvation. The playing field becomes a metaphor for the created cosmos, where rules are not restrictions but conditions of existence, and chance is a reminder that not everything is subject to human calculation.
Through the prism of feelings and systems, I try to speak about the most important things: finding a way, hope, and the Love that gave birth to everything. And while some proclaim that God is dead, in art, as in the hearts of some, we know how it all ends for them. For me, He is more alive than all living things. And He observes the games we play and the universes we build. Our Heavenly Father created us creators in His own image and likeness, and as His true children, we must learn from Him to create for the good. Just as Christ rose from the dead after the crucifixion, so too will He rise in art, transformed! And therefore, with complete confidence, I say: God is risen!
